Our aim is to make our customers life easier so here's our most frequently asked questions that should address any queries you have about using the services from RF Recycling Group.

I have a small or tight driveway. Can I still hire a skip from RF Recycling Group?
We have various smaller sized skips and vehicles that may be suitable however we are also licensed to leave skips safely on a public highway. Alternatively, you can hire a grab bag for smaller waste removal jobs.
What can’t I put in the skip?
Due to government regulations, the following items are NOT to be disposed of in a skip:
No Fires, Tyres, Paints, Oils, Chemicals, TVs, Gas Bottles, Batteries, Lithium Batteries, Fridge / Freezers, Plasterboard, Asbestos, Needles, Mattresses, Silage Wrap & all Polystyrene MUST be bagged.
You can however, contact us for the removal of the items listed above.
Do you deliver skips on a Saturday?
At peak times we operate Saturday mornings until 1pm. Please call the office during Saturday hours to see if we can help.
If I phone to order a skip can I have it the same day?
Contact us for same day hireRF Recycling Group can deliver your skip the same day of your call depending on the time that you call us.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes we accept all major debit and credit cards
Will you do a cheaper rate for segregated waste?
Yes we can do a lower rate for your waste if it is all the same material. For instance all soil or all rubble. This incurs less time for us at the transfer station therefore we can pass on the savings to you!
What is a waste transfer station?
Our fully installed Waste Transfer Station is where we take all of your waste. This is then mechanically and manually segregated into reusable items ready for recycling.
Can RF Recycling Group deliver and collect the same day?
Yes we can deliver and collect on the same day. However, we would advise you to book your collection in advance directly with the office to ensure a driver is available.
Can the skip be left on the road?
Yes, we are licensed to leave skips safely on a public highway although we will need to apply for a separate license from the local council. This can take up to a week for approval.
How long can I have a skip for?
We allow anything from 1 day to 2 weeks hire which is flexible. Contract hire can also be arranged, just contact the office to discuss your requirements.
Do you provide a wait and load service?
Yes, we can wait while the skip is being loaded, this is particularly useful in areas where skips are not allowed to be left overnight. In areas where access is tight, skips are not allowed to be left on the public highway.
Can we tip directly at your Recycling Centre?
Yes, we can accept your waste directly at our recycling centre in Fordingbridge, however you must have a waste carriers license or a valid utility bill to do so.
Can we wheel a wheel barrow straight into your skips?
Yes, we have what’s called a door drop skip which will allow access straight through the front of the skip using a wheel barrow or by foot. These are available in a 4 yard drop door and 6 yard drop door skip.
Do RF Recycling Group have lockable skips?
Yes, at RF Recycling Group we have lockable skips. These are perfect for stopping misuse and people fly tipping into your skip.
These are available in 6 yard and 12 yard skips.
How full can the skip be loaded?
You must not load the skip any higher than the level load line for safety. Ensure you order the right size skip for your job to allow for the amount of waste you have. Call our friendly team for any advise on choosing your skip.
Will you recycle the entire contents of the skip?
We will endeavour to recycle as much of the contents in your skip as possible.
Do I need to be home for my skip to be delivered?
Ideally yes so you can liaise with our driver, however, it's not essential. As long as it's clear and obvious as to where we should leave your skip we can drop it off as instructed. You must also abide by our skip do's and dont's given in your initial email from us. If our driver can't see exactly where to leave your skip, or it isn't obvious, there may be an extra delivery charge and your skip returned to our yard.
What happens if I need my skip after the 2 week hire period?
The collection needs to be arranged in advance within our 2 week hire period or a small rehire fee may apply depending on how much extra time you require. Please note, we don't just turn up in 2 weeks to collect your skip so please call our office when you're ready.
Do you price RoRo (Roll-on Roll-off) bins differently?
Yes, with our Ro Ro skips we charge upfront for delivery and collection (haulage) plus 3 tonnes of your chosen waste. The waste is also calculated differently depending on what type of waste you have. When the Ro-Ro skip comes back to our yard, we weigh it and anything over 3 tonnes we will charge for additionally. Green waste, Rubble, Metal, Inert and uPVC don't have an extra charge regardless of final weight.
